CANCELLATION OF PERFORMING ARTS SESSIONS
The Guernsey Eisteddfod Society was founded in 1921 and to recognise this auspicious milestone the 2021 Festival was intended to be one of great celebration, with other events planned to take place during this special year.
However Covid 19 has put an end to some of these plans and it is with great regret that the Executive Committee is having to cancel the performing sections of the Festival, namely Music, Speech & Drama, French and Guernesais, which were due to take place during February and March. We have looked into the possibility of delaying the competitions but suitable dates are not available.
The Eisteddfod Executive Committee apologises for this cancellation and hopes that its supporters will understand and will be ready to celebrate with us in 2022!
The Arts and Crafts Exhibition, which was also scheduled to take place during March, had already been deferred and is now due to be held during the week beginning Monday 21 June.
