The Junior Art and Craft section provides a platform for the Educational establishments of the Bailiwick of Guernsey to exhibit their work. It is also an opportunity for people island-wide to appreciate the work created and achieved by the participating schools during the school year.
The Eisteddfod is very fortunate that the Arts & Craft section of the Exhibition has been a popular event amongst the schools and that a large area of high class and variable work can be appreciated during the four days of the Exhibition.
The schools are approached by the Junior Art and Craft Section Committee and are invited to take part. Once accepted the schools and pre-schools are advised of the entry criteria and allocated space in the Hall. Times are given for them to erect their contributions. Help and advice is available for the less experienced of the contributors.
Artists of school age who wish to enter work on an individual basis can do so through the Senior Section of the Art and Craft section.
This Exhibition is a unique concept throughout the British Isles and there is an opportunity for many more people to appreciate the arts coming from schools across the Bailiwick of Guernsey.
